We are born bonded to the earth. Our senses are exquisitely tuned to the intimate interplay between the body and the living earth. The expressive arts encourage creative perception through all of our senses. Their embodied creative practices offer a bridge to that part of the psyche, ancient and planetary, that is imbued with the healing awareness of the intimate reciprocity between ourselves and the living community of earth.

As participant, you will hone your creative ability for embodied awareness of our intimate indwelling in nature. You will deepen your affective rapport with the earth through your artistic response, engaging in visual arts, voice, language arts, movement and nature arts, individually and as a group. You will as well develop skills in guiding others in opening their senses, hearts and minds to the community of the living earth that enfolds us.

Join us in the creative reawakening of the wild heart of being in a beautiful setting, surrounded by the intricate sounds, colors, shapes and fragrances of nature.

No prior art experience is necessary.

Sophia Reinders, PhD, MFT, REAT, is the founding director of Wisdombody Institute, a body-oriented Jungian psychotherapist and Registered Expressive Arts Therapist in private practice in San Francisco and Marin. She is faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies, CIIS, where she teaches in the areas of Jungian Psychology, Creativity, Expressive Arts, Engaged Depth Psychology, Ecopsychology, and Ecospirituality. Sophia is a passionate photographer, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher, and member of the Doctoral Council of the European Graduate School, EGS, Switzerland. She serves on the Advisory Council of the Sky Mountain Institute for Expressive Arts, and is vice-president of the Board of the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology.
